Tots In Mind Cozy Crib Tent II 1 White

Cozy crib tent ii : While it doesn't turn bedtime into a campout, the Tot in Mind Cozy Crib Tent II is a great way to keep toddlers and toys inside the tent and pests and pets outside. The domed canopy attaches snugly via Velcro to most standard and sleigh cribs. Setup is easy--almost like a tent--and once on it discourages toddlers from climbing, falling, and wandering. If you have a climbing toddler not yet ready for a toddler bed, the Crib Tent II bridges the gap and will have parents, and child, resting easier. Crib rails can be lowered and bumper pads can still be used. The soft full zipper allows quick access to the crib, and it is compact and lightweight for travelling. Manufacturer recommended age is birth to three years.

"Tots in mind cozy crib tent ii : I used this product for my 2 girls. My mother-in-law recommended we set it up when they were so little that they never knew a crib without a tent on it...GREAT ADVICE! It kept my 2 girls safe until almost age 4!!!!!!!!!!! Can't beat that! The older model for my first daughter was great to keep her in but it didn't yet have the side panels so her binky always fell out of her crib at night and I'd have to get up and go in and give it back to her...the newer model I got for my second daughter and with the side mesh panels, completely eliminated the problem of the disappearing binky! :) I love, love, loved this product! I never had a problem w/my zipper malfunctioning and when I tucked the girls in and forgot to zipper it they'd call me back into their room almost in tears saying, "MOM, you forgot to zip me in!" --- it was really a reassuring/comfort thing for them making them feel safe and sound!"

"Tots in mind cozy crib tent ii : We've had this crib tent in use for about 4 months to keep my son from climbing out of his crib. We haven't had any problems with it. It fit our crib fine (we have a crib like they show in their product picture). I can still lower the side of the crib. First time use: It takes a little while to set up the first time, 30-60 minutes.

Use a board boook insetad of your thumb to push the pole into its sleeve that last bit so you can get it tucked in the corner of the sleeve past the button hole. Horsing the mattress in the opening isn't easy, but you can do it! Don't really pull "very tightly" in step 6 of the instructions. I thought they meant more than just tight until stitches started ripping out.

Once assembled, the crib mattress didn't actually rest on the springs at first - it was just hanging in the tent a little above them. I put my 4 year old in for a few minutes and that helped stretch the tent out. Now it rests on the springs just fine.
Washing: I successfully washed it in the machine on gentle. First I closed up ALL the velcro as much as I could as it could snag and rip the mesh. (They don't recommend this, rather they say leave the poles in and hand wash in the bathtub.) Then it air dried rather quickly. Reassembly was only 15 minutes. Zipper: The new one we bought in 2009 has a pocket to tuck the zipper into and you can put the zipper pull cord through one of the velcro straps to secure it. I can't imagine my son getting out of this.

The zipper will wake the baby up. But if you only put your baby down when they are already asleep, I suspect you'll have lots of sleeping problems anyway - so don't blame the tent. You hardly need to use it, much less zip it, with newborns anyway, unless you're worried about cats. I can't tell you if it works well with cats because I don't work well with cats.
Alternatives: get rid of the cats or sugar gliders or whatever animal is of a concern, a baby crib safety net is an Australian product similarly priced, or put your toddler on a mattress on the floor and put a gate up in the doorway - unless he climbs over those, too."
